The large L shaped lounge has two large picture windows which give fantastic views of Loch Ness. While enjoying breakfast, look out to Urquhart Castle and watch the boats on the loch or alternatively, in the evening, marvel at the range of fabulous sunsets. See our Loch Ness picture gallery.
The lounge is well equipped with a large flat screen colour TV as well as a DVD and freeview player. Also, the wood burning stove is especially welcome in winter and all logs are supplied, free of charge. If you want to spend a relaxing day in the cottage, just put your feet up. Choose a book to read, set up one of the jigsaws or alternatively, play some games!
Check out directions or opening times of the range of attractions in the area on the laptop. Alternatively, keep in touch by e mail with friends and family back home. Or, just enter the WAP password to connect your own laptop or tablet.
Depending on your provider, mobile phone coverage can be a little patchy. Use the payphone in the cottage to keep in touch with friends and family.
We provide a large number of brochures and maps in the sideboard. There is a fantastic range of places to explore within easy driving distance of the cottage and in addition there is a huge range of walks in the area – everything from 5 minutes to 5 hours or more.
In addition, Farigaig forest is just behind the cottage with well marked trails. Go slightly further afield and enjoy exploring all, or part of the 28 miles of the South Loch Trail. And finally, dogs just love the variety of tracks and we are sure that their human companions will too!
