The large L shaped lounge has two large picture windows which give great views of Loch Ness. While enjoying breakfast, look out to Urquhart Castle and watch the boats on the loch or alternatively, in the evening, marvel at the range of fabulous sunsets. See our Loch Ness picture gallery. Look out too in the garden for the diverse birdlife as well as red squirrels and if you are lucky, a pinemarten.
The lounge is well equipped with a large flat screen colour TV as well as a DVD and freeview player. Also, the wood burning stove is especially welcome in winter and all logs are supplied, free of charge. If the weather is not good, just put your feet up and relax in the cottage with a good book!
To check out out directions, opening times of the range of attractions and generally what there is to see and do in the area, we provide an extensive list of local websites for you to check out in the cottage information pack provided. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, we are no longer able to provide brochures and maps of the area including that of local walks and trails on your doorstep at Hazelgrove. Farigaig forest is just behind the cottage with well marked trails. Go slightly further afield and enjoy exploring all, or part of the 58km South Loch Ness Trail. If you have dogs, they will just love the woods and paths and we are sure that their human companions will too!
Finally, mobile phone reception in the area is not fantastic but it is getting better!
