Eating Out while staying at Hazelgove Self Catering Cottage, Loch Ness

As you have chosen a self catering cottage you will no doubt be cooking for yourselves on some nights during your stay, but you may also wish to do some eating out to experience some of the excellent eateries in the area.

Hazelgrove is located 16 miles from both Inverness and Fort Augustus. There are a number of supermarkets in Inverness and couple of smaller foodstores in Fort Augustus. The village of Foyers is 2 miles from Hazelgrove and there is a small village shop and post office. Opening times and range of items available are a little restrictive in Foyers so you might prefer to head for Inverness if you have a larger shopping to do. Cameron’s Tea room and the shop at Loch Ness Shores camp site also have a range of tempting treats.

Foyers Stores is the closest shop for your essential items while staying at Hazelgrove. Just two miles from the cottage, there is also a post office and the Waterfall cafe where you can enjoy a drink and a bite to eat.

Tesco Online
As the welcome basket is essentially a “starter pack” you will want to do a larger shop to see you through most of your week eating in at the cottage. Tesco Home Shopping Online is an excellent service  you can use to save time and avoid having to stock up the car when you leave home. If you place your order a few days in advance of your arrival at Hazelgrove, you can choose a delivery slot once you have settled in and to suit your own timescale.
