Environmental Commitment
We are conscious that the actions of each and every one of us have an impact on the environment. At Hazelgrove we are committed to providing an excellent quality of service for our guests whilst also minimising the environmental impact of our business activities. By doing so we hope (albeit in a small way) to help maintain the wild beauty of Loch Ness for the enjoyment of visitors and local people alike.
A symbol of our commitment is our membership of the Green Tourism Business Scheme. Under this scheme we have achieved a Gold Award, the highest grading of which we are justifiably proud.
 At Hazelgrove we aim to:-
Adhere to good environmental practice in all business activities.
Ensure that the business meets the minimum requirements set by environmental law and fulfill its legal duty of care requirements for waste disposal.

Use of environmentally soaps and detergents for laundry
Ensuring that efficient use of energy is undertaken within the business as far as practicable
Purchasing of a range of recycled goods
Recycling a variety of household products
Providing a natural habitat which encourages wildlife
Promoting a no smoking environment

Reduced flush toilet to save water
Double glazed windows to improve thermal performance
Re-use furniture and bed linens by donating to local charities
Installing low energy bulbs throughout the cottage
Here are some examples of the actions we take to help the environment:
 Recycling of paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, cans and food waste
Monitoring of gas and electricity consumption
Recycling of batteries
 Bulk purchase of cleaning materials
Provision of bottles of shampoo and bathroom products to minimise waste
Use of local produce wherever possible
Purchase of recycled goods
Confirmation of all bookings by e mail thus reducing paper use
We support our local environment, services and suppliers through the following actions:
Provide information on walks and wildlife for guests
Provide local transport information to guests
Provide cycle hire and route information
Use local produce including meat, fruit, and dairy in our welcome basket
